What I do…

“I am a storyteller and I create stories in lots of different ways, like making unusual sorts of games, performing live, or creating podcasts.  And I help other people to tell their stories too.”

Growing up I wanted to become…

“I wanted to be an actor.  Then a writer.  Then both of these.  And that’s what I’ve ended up doing, though I travelled a few different paths along the way!”

The thing that surprised me most about my career…

“How much joy it gives me.  I love that I get to create every day.  I get to have lots of ideas and to explore them.  I get to say yes to the world, instead of no.”

The best advice anyone ever gave me…

“Failure is learning.  Without failure we won’t grow.  In fact, failure is necessary.  If you play a game and you never lose, it’s a boring game.  Life’s like that.  Embrace your failures.”
